Tubruk & Logo Meaning

The name "Tubruk" is steeped in cultural significance. When Mir Sayyed Ali Hamdani, a revered Sufi mystic, arrived in Kashmir in the late 14th century with 700 followers—many of them skilled craftsmen—they introduced various arts to the region. In Kashmir, the word tubruk refers to a blessing or cherished souvenir given by a saint or spiritual guide.

This concept of a sacred gift resonates with the essence of Tubruk, which celebrates the intricate beauty and cultural heritage of Kashmiri crafts.

The logo, featuring the daffodil (yemberzal), symbolizes hope and renewal—the first bloom of the year that marks the end of a long winter and the beginning of a vibrant spring. This emblem captures the spirit of resilience and beauty that defines the artisans and their work. Founded - 2019.
